The visitor center and live-animal exhibit at the mouth of North Cheyenne Cañon — bats, reptiles, and rotating nature exhibits, plus climbing-route info and the trailhead for some of the best family hikes in the city.
Small and delightful — plan 30–45 minutes inside, then walk out the back door to the Columbine Trail or drive up to Helen Hunt Falls a few minutes further into the canyon. Free parking, usually uncrowded, and an easy cool-off spot when the canyon road gets sunny.
