Free Memorial Park

A central-city park built around Prospect Lake, with a swimming beach, ice arena, BMX track, and the city's oldest skate park — the everyday playground of Colorado Springs.
Most days you’ll find paddleboarders on Prospect Lake, kids on the beach, and a steady rotation of pickup soccer on the fields. The Honor Bell memorial and the Sertich Ice Arena are part of the same complex.
In summer the city hosts free concerts and the Labor Day Lift Off balloon festival staging is right here. It’s a good “rest day” stop — easy to combine with brunch or a stroll to nearby breweries.
