The downtown park with the iconic Julie Penrose Fountain — a ring of sculpted arches that doubles as Colorado Springs' best summer splash pad, plus a playground, big lawn, and paved trails along Monument Creek.

Bring swimsuits and towels — kids go straight through the fountain’s misting arches on warm days and never come back dry. Right across from the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum, so pair the two for a classic downtown afternoon.

The Pikes Peak Greenway Trail runs directly through the park — great for a stroller walk or bike ride along the creek.
